Bottle Crown Caps
The crown cork was patented by William Painter, of Baltimore, USA on 2nd February, 1892 (U.S. Patent 468,258). It had 24 teeth and a cork seal with a paper backing to prevent contact between the contents and the metal cap. The current version has 21 teeth.

A collector may be called a utremcoronaphile.

Tegestology
Yes, that is the name given to the collecting of beer mats. The first cardboard beer mats were produced in 1880 but was quickly replaced by a pulp wood alternative - both were of German origin.

Someone who collects beer bottles. Mine tend to be full bottles.

Labologists
A collector of beer bottle labels. The Labologist's Society has more information and even has a Label of the Year - well worth a visit.

Cenosillicaphobia
A fear of an empty glass. We have all felt that.
